Dad’s Boots

2002

Dad's Boots was a multi-sited sculpture/performance. Three different physical manifestations of the work were installed at the same time in three locations: Shirakawa-go Art Festival in Shirakawa-go, Japan, the Phipps Art Center in Hudson, Wisconsin, and at the Tampa Museum of Art in Florida. Physical components of the work included silent video projection, digital photography, computer key caps, and the artist's father's boots. Each of these three different installations referred back to one web site.
