One year later. A creek runs through his orchard in the village. His father planted the trees before Min was born. Min no longer has the strength or the will to care for the orchard. On his computer he designs a wooden writing desk. He has the desk made for him. He places it between 2 stones by the creek. He goes there every day and writes on red rice paper with a brush or a pencil. At the top of each page he writes, "In my father's orchard".
